Standard Window <12PM - For overnight storms, we target a window to have your property serviced before 12PM noon.
Priorty Window <7AM - For overnight storms, we target a window to have your property serviced before 7AM.
De-Icing - We use products that are generally safe for concrete and pavers. However, concrete or masonry that is less than 2 years old should not be treated with salts or de-icers.
Plant/Pet Safe Options - We offer vegetation and pet safe options for de-icing. These products are gentler but also less effective as conventional chlorides.
Return After City Plows - When the City's plows run, they typically throw a berm of snow, ice and debris onto the apron of your driveway. If we happen to service before this happens we'll come clear the apron for easier access to the street.
Pre-Storm Treatment - When conditions allow, we come apply a brine solution to your drive and walkways. This prevents ice and snow from bonding and reduces the amount of de-icing products used overall.
De-Icing Touch-Up - Some areas are prone to refreezing, particularly shaded north sides and just need more attention than others.
Sidewalk Only Service - If you're interested in sidewalk only service just let us know. We provide discounts to make sure the kiddos can get to school safely.

How Triggers Work

We use a snow trigger to decide when your property gets serviced. Your trigger is the amount of new snow that needs to accumulate between visits before we come. Ice/Freezing Rain events are an automatic service with Classic or Critical plans.

measurements are approximations that are based on predicted accumulation rates as well as on site observations.

You can choose from:

0.5" trigger – We come out for almost every measurable snow.
1" trigger – We come out when there’s enough snow you’d normally shovel.
2" trigger – Moderate snow, our standard trigger for most homes.
3" trigger – We come out mainly for larger storms.

How Triggers Affect Frequency

0.5" trigger → 11 visits/season
1" trigger → 8 visits/season
2" trigger → 5 visits/season
3" trigger → 3 visits/season

Lower triggers usually mean more visits with lighter snow each time.
Higher triggers usually mean fewer visits but heavier, more compacted snow.
Visit frequencies are approximations and not absolute.

How Triggers Affect Price

Because smaller triggers are easier and faster to clear per visit, they are billed at a much lower per-visit rate than our standard 2" trigger.

Larger triggers (like 3") are billed at a higher per-visit rate because we’re removing more depth and harder-packed snow in fewer, heavier visits.

How Billing Works

Expected Average Visits

Winter weather is unpredictable, so we bill in a way that’s simple and fair in both light and heavy seasons. For each trigger depth, we use an estimated number of visits for a typical Columbus winter.

For example:

A 2" trigger is based on about 5 visits per season on an average year.
Lower triggers (1" and 0.5") assume more visits (8-11).
A higher trigger (3") assumes three visits.

We then take the expected number of visits and calculate your rate based on the plan you select (Core, Classic, Critical). This then becomes your "per visit rate".

Choose Monthly or the Season Pass

For both Monthly and Season Pass (Save 10%) billing, we take the total number of expected visits and multiply that by your "per visit rate". To get your total estimate for the season.

For Monthly: We simply divide that by 3 for the monthly payments from December through February.

For Season Pass: We take the total esimate and take off 10% and that is the amount you prepay for the season.

With either option you are paying in advance for some services. We balance this at the end of the season and we tally everything up.

End of Season Settle-Up

At the end of the season we compare:

How many visits you actually received at your chosen trigger
What you already paid (Monthly or Season Pass)
Your per-visit rate for your plan and trigger

We then calculate your actual seasonal total:

Actual total = (Actual visits) × (Per-visit rate)

Then we compare the total you paid to the Actual total. If you didn't pay enough, we send you an invoice for the difference. If you paid too much, we provide you a refund or credit to other services or the next season.

Weather Monitoring: We actively monitor Franklin County weather stations and track the weather around the clock. We can then clear the snow from your property as soon as conditions allow.
Clear Communication: You'll receive a text/email when weather is predicted to meet your trigger for service. We'll then alert you when we've cleared your property and provide photos after the service.
Pre-treatment Service: If subscribed, we'll be out before the storm hits to make a pre-treatment. This process reduces the overall amount of salt/chloride products used and prevents ice from bonding to surfaces.
Surface/Pet Safe: Our snow clearing uses quiet, electric tools such as snow blowers, electric shovels and brushes. Surface safe de-icing products are standard. Veg/Pet safe de-icing products are available.
Safety a Priority: We clear access to hydrants, mailboxes and offer return options to handle ice and plow berms on the driveway apron. Making sure your property is safe and accessible.
